Menorca is the least developed of the Balearics islands. Menorca can be best described as rural location with rolling fields and woodland. There are two main towns on Menorca Mahon (Mao) and Ciutadella. Menorca remains undeveloped which is how the Menorcans wish to keep it. There are many conservation areas to ensure the island remains in its current unspoiled condition. Menorca is approximately 50 Kilometres wide, the town of Mahon is on the East tip and Ciutadella is on the west. The C721 is the main road between the two towns and links Alaior, Ferreries and Es Mercadel. To the north of the island you will find the popular resort of Fornells and to the south popular resorts such as Cala Santa and Galdana can be found. Towards the middle of the island is Monte Toro Menorca’s highest peak.
